Standard: Plan for the management of technology resources within the context of learning activities.

I used this technology plan during a professional development session to provide teachers with a guide to manage technology resources and embrace them in the classroom.

During the role of the technology specialist course, the focus was on the school’s technology plan and the need for management of its resources. I developed a technology plan for my school. The plan laid out the framework of how technology was to be implemented in the classroom as well as managing the day to day operations. Since the students are technology advanced, the technological weakness stems from the educators. The students are willing to embrace new technology and use it regularly, however, the educators must accept technology as an influential learning tool in the classroom.
