Standard TF-II.A.

Standard: Design developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that apply technology-enhanced instructional strategies to support the diverse needs of learners.

This PowerPoint models the developmentally appropriate curriculum unit, the phases of the moon, catering to the diverse needs of the student.

The Explore the Moon PowerPoint project is a designed unit that covers the moon curriculum through the use of technology. The technology tool used during the project can be set to kiosk mode which allows the students to learn the moon without any technical issues. The teacher can set up the program at the beginning of class and the students can come in an begin learning the material. A definite positive with this project is the students ability to work at their own speed. There are also sound bites throughout the program that let students with reading disabilities listen to the information as well.
